I didn't see anything abnormal on my last phone bill, so I think it's okay. Also, the code number was 12 digits, so it is too long for a phone number. Just for kicks, I did try dialing the code number and received a "your call cannot be completed" recording after dialing the 4th digit.

Comment on Is it a Scam, Bad Marketing, or Ineptitude?

Peter
There must be a scam here somewhere. I wonder if, when you put in your "Claim #", you are actually dialing a new phone number for which you will be raped per minute.

Comment on Is it a Scam, Bad Marketing, or Ineptitude?

Thanks for posting

Comment on Summertime TV Shows

I like to watch Meerkat Manor too :-) Mostly I watched it at night, before I went to sleep on Animal planet, but now somehow they do not show it... I think, that I did not see much episodes since Flower died... Now I watch at a guy, who hunts for snakes and he takes some photos of them and photos of other animals he finds.

Comment on The Exciting Millennial Generation

But someone has to keep the wheels turning on the home front. So the issues you have read which I have passed on are of course aimed toward the older people.

Comment on Long Live Microsoft Windows XP

Hi Peter - GREAT blog

Regarding the Office 2k7 - you should ask your friend A) How long did they use Office 2k3? and B) how long ago did they switch? I had the same initial reaction when I recently switched, but am learning to like 2k7 better (Especially now that Mr. Gates has left the company(-; )

Comment on Misdirected Press Releases Seem A Lot Like Spam

Peter, We send our press releases out through HRmarketer.com. Please let me know what publications of yours that are listed via that sight and I will be sure to remove you from our distribution list. That being said, you will be receiving a press release from me today, so please disregard.

Comment on Misdirected Press Releases Seem A Lot Like Spam

Paul,

Your point is well taken. I will concede that the press release was not spam like the others, nevertheless it is not what Connections Magazine readers are interested in seeing.

From a product/software standpoint, there is one key difference between the needs of inhouse and outsourcing call centers. Outsourcers deal with multiple clients, so their systems need to easily and effectively scale to handle hundreds or even thousands of accounts. Since this is not a requirement for inhouse call centers, many products designed for them do not work efficiently for outsourcing call centers. If Verint's products have been successfully implemented in a multi-client outsource call centers, then that would be a case study of great interest to the readers of Connections Magazine.

Thank you for the clarification.
